The Content X-Ray View (sometimes also called “Dependency View” or simply “X-Ray”) allows users to click into content (e.g., Smart Shells, Smart Pages, etc.) and see the other content that makes up the selected content. This feature also works in reverse and allows the user to see what content uses the currently selected content.
To access the Content X-Ray View, click on the ellipses to the right of the content to access the advanced functionalities and select “X-Ray” from the drop-down menu. Clicking the Content X-Ray View will show the Precedents and Dependencies. By default, the user will be shown the Precedents.
This will take the user to the X-Ray view overlay screen. By default, the user will be shown the Precedents— note that this is expected to always be blank for Smart Shell and that the Content X-Ray screen may have a slightly different look and feel depending on where the content itself resides. Below is the Content X-Ray screen when viewing a Smart Shell. Despite the differences, the functionality remains the same.
