When attempting to open or edit a Smart Doc, users may occasionally see a popup message stating that the Smart Page or Smart Doc they are trying to currently being edit by another user. This happens because Assette automatically locks content while it is being edited to prevent multiple users from attempting to simultaneously access the same content. This help prevent users from inadvertently undoing other’s work or messing up Data Settings.

If you need to unlock the content, simply acknowledge the popup and go back to the item you were attempting to edit and click “Unlock” from the Advanced Actions.
Note unlocking content while another user is editing the content will cause the user to lose all unsaved work!
