The Data Blocks section of the Component Analytics dashboard in Assette provides a centralized and categorized overview of all data blocks used across your organization’s content. Data blocks are core components that power data integration, transformation, and presentation in Assette documents. This view allows users to audit and manage data processing logic by viewing distribution across block categories and subtypes, along with activity metadata.
Accessing the Data Blocks Dashboard #
To view data block metrics:
- Navigate to the top menu and select Analytics → Components.
- In the dashboard, locate and click on the Data Blocks card.
This section is accessible to all users and provides real-time visibility into how data logic is structured across the platform.
Accessing X-Ray for Data Block Analysis #
Each data block entry in the list includes an X-Ray icon on the right side. Clicking this icon opens X-Ray View, where you can trace how the data block is used across templates, shells, and other components. This helps in:
- Understanding dependencies and usage relationships
- Verifying integration points and data flow
- Troubleshooting unexpected output or data inconsistencies
