The Assette Tenant Manager enables developers and technical users to easily deploy Data Blocks, Data Objects, Smart Shells, Smart Pages, and other Assette content from one tenant to another. To access the Tenant Manager users must have the “Tenant Manager Admin” role assigned after which the user can click on the Tenant Manager from the Assette home page.

The Assette Tenant Manager #
The purpose of the Tenant Manager is to simplify the movement of content between Assette tenants (i.e., Client Codes, not environments). While the Assette Tenant Manager does support content version history and auditability, the Assette Tenant Manager does not include all the features one might find in a purpose-built system (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, ticket management, Kaban Boards, etc.) and therefore should not be treated as such.

Tenant Manager Roles #
The Assette Tenant Manager has only one role, the Tenant Manager Admin role. Any user with the Tenant Manager Admin role assigned will be able access the Tenant Manager screen and is able to perform all actions related to the Tenant Manager, including deployments. Users without permission to access the Tenant Manager will not be able to see the Tenant Manager in Assette Navigation Bar. User without permission in both the Source and Target tenant will receive an error message when creating a deployment. For more information see Tenant Manager Troubleshooting.

Searching for Deployments #
From the Tenant Manager’s home screen users will see all deployments by name, the username of the user who created the deployment, the deployment date, the source and target tenants, and the status of the deployment—all of which can searched for. Users can also perform an advanced search by clicking on the filter icon to the right of the search field. After clicking “Apply”, the search will be restricted to the applied filters.
