This article is intended for organizations using SSO. Below is a description of each role. Each role is intended to handle a specific aspect of content creation, data input, or content sharing within Assette. Additionally, each role is designed with a specific job or department in mind. For the example, the “Sales” role focuses on the distribution of content to clients, leveraging the Output Center to tailor and deliver content effectively.
Brand Author #
- Manages and customizes brand elements.
- Key Tasks: Tagging attributes, authoring and viewing brand themes, managing smart shells, and working with dynamic workflows.
Brand Owner #
- Has comprehensive control over brand-related content.
- Key Tasks: Similar to Brand Author but with additional permissions for managing workflows and libraries.
Content User #
- Focuses on content creation, customization, and user shadowing.
- Key Tasks: Shadow login, authoring smart docs, generating data packs, managing batches, and viewing analytics.
Data Block Admin #
- Oversees and administers data blocks and dependencies.
- Key Tasks: Managing Azure keys, creating and editing blocks, exporting, importing, and testing blocks.
Data Block Developer #
- Primarily engaged in block creation and testing.
- Key Tasks: Publishing, editing, and managing dependencies for blocks, viewing workflows, and attaching Azure keys.
Data Block Viewer #
- Has view-only access to data blocks.
- Key Tasks: Viewing blocks and testing block configurations.
Data Object Admin #
- Administers data objects and fields within the system.
- Key Tasks: Creating, editing, publishing objects, managing dynamic fields, and viewing workflows.
Data Object Developer #
- Focuses on developing data objects and managing dependencies.
- Key Tasks: Creating objects, editing fields, viewing blocks, and publishing footnotes.
Data Object Viewer #
- Has view-only access to data objects and related fields.
- Key Tasks: Previewing and viewing objects, dynamic fields, and footnotes.
System Administrator #
- Manages system-wide settings, user accounts, and configurations.
- Key Tasks: Running admin tasks, managing internal/external users, viewing configurations, and managing portal logins.
Team Administrator #
- Responsible for team-level administration and user management.
- Key Tasks: Managing internal/external user status, shadow login, viewing notifications, and uploading recipients.
Template Author #
- Focuses on template creation and editing.
- Key Tasks: Authoring smart pages, templates, dashboards, data docs, and working with analytics.
Template Owner #
- Oversees and manages templates and content assembly.
- Key Tasks: Managing smart pages, dashboards, email templates, analytics, and library access.
Tenant Manager Owner #
- Limited to viewing workflows.
- Key Tasks: Viewing the dynamic workflow and workbox.
