The RFP Module in Assette enables users to review and revise answers directly within uploaded or existing RFP and DDQ documents. The built-in editor is designed for collaborative and structured response management, including features for formatting, version control, and change tracking. This article describes how to edit an answer using the available tools and options in the Assette platform.

Prerequisites #
To edit an answer in the RFP Module:
- Your organization must have the RFP Module enabled.
- You must have uploaded an RFP or selected one already stored in the RFP & DDQs section under the Content Hub.
Steps to Edit an Answer #
- Open the RFP Document
Navigate to the Content Hub, then select RFP & DDQs. From the list of documents, locate the RFP you wish to modify. - Enter Edit Mode
On the RFP card, click the three-dot menu (···) and choose “Edit Answers”. This opens the RFP & DDQ Editor view. - Select the Question to Edit
Questions can be accessed in two ways:- Click on a question displayed in the center pane of the editor.
- Use the navigation panel on the right to browse and select the question.
- Edit the Answer
Once selected, the question will automatically lock to prevent other users from editing it simultaneously. In the answer text field, you may edit directly using the built-in rich text editor. The editor includes the following capabilities:- Save Options:
- Save: Saves current changes
- Save & Close: Saves changes and exits the question view
- Editing Controls:
- Undo (Ctrl+Z) and Redo (Ctrl+Y)
- View Revision History: Save current revision, open revision history, compare past edits
- Collaboration Tools:
- Comment: Add comments to selected text
- Track Changes (enabled by default):
- Accept all or selected suggestions
- Discard all or selected suggestions
- Preview final content
- Text Formatting:
- Bold, Italics, Underline
- Font, Font Size, and Font Color (with color picker and custom options)
- Style selection (e.g., Paragraph, Heading 1–3)
- Bullet and Numbered Lists (disc, circle, square, and full list property control)
- Multi-level list support
- Indentation (increase and decrease)
- Highlight text
- Insert Quote
- Insert Checklist
- Content Enhancements:
- Insert Table
- Insert Hyperlink (with optional auto-download behavior)
- Save Options:
- Review or Finalize Edits
After making the necessary changes:- You may choose to continue editing other questions.
- Use Save & Close to commit and exit the current answer field.
Additional Features #
- Auto-Locking: The question locks for the user currently editing, preventing others from overriding the entry.
- Source Attribution: Contributors are tracked, and sources can be added for compliance or reference.
- Answer Status: Visual indicators signal whether a question has been edited, answered, or remains incomplete.
