# Authoring Center

The Authoring Center is where authors design templates and build content. Key capabilities include:

## **Component creation tools**

- Build content elements like charts and tables (called *Shells*)
- Shells can be created in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and HTML

## **Template assembly and layout**

- Add Shells to pages (called *Smart Pages*)
- Assemble pages into complete templates
- Apply *Brand Themes* for consistent visual styling

## **Compliance and workflow management**

- Enter and manage disclosure language
- Specify steps for reviewing and approving components and content
